Same old Manchester City, same old Arsenal but only in styles of play. Arsenal kicked off their season with a new manager, some new players and at home against the champions.

Nothing else was new as they failed to create any real chances and lost the game 0-2 quite easily. As Gary Neville said during commentary, it will take two or three transfer windows to get this team back near the top.

It depends. If the question relates to the top six being the same six as usual then there is unlikely to be any difference. If, however, it is questioning whether the finishing order will be the same as this season, then that is more debatable.

The football they’re playing isn’t quite good enough at the moment.” (more…)

Ah, the wonderful art of mathematics! Or should that be the wonderful science of mathematics?

Whichever it is, next season will see the Premier League’s top teams set about proving what every five year old already knows, that eight into four does not go. Higher up the title-chasing ladder and Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United will prove that three into one does not go either.

In other words it is widely expected that the title will be a three horse race but the top four will be an eight horse race. (more…)

Poor Alvaro Morata. Fresh from dyeing his hair red and his wife following Manchester United on Instagram he now has to pretend that Chelsea was always his first choice.

He hasn’t actually said those words but, then again, his English isn’t too good yet.

On arrival at Heathrow airport the player and his wife were immediately hijacked by a Sky Sports reporter who wasted no time in asking those pertinent questions to which we all want an answer. (more…)
