Premier League - Manchester United v Manchester City

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is not an Old Trafford legend in the true sense of the word. He is not up there with Duncan Edwards, Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Denis Law. He is remembered, primarily, as the substitute who came on and scored the winning goal in the 1999 Champion’s League final.

He scored many other goals during his Manchester United career with the vast majority of them being scored as a substitute. In other words, he wasn’t considered good enough to start for the first team on a regular basis. This alone prevents him from being a fully-fledged legend. (more…)


Of the manager’s pictured above, one will probably be crowned Premier League champion at the end of the season. At least another one of the five will miss out on the top four. So who will be the winner and who will be the loser(s)?

Although it is certainly not a foregone conclusion it is widely expected that the title will end up in Manchester. There are some bets being laid on the unknown quantity that is Antonio Conte at Chelsea but many think his lack of Premier League experience will mean that he falls just short this time out. Over the last few years watches have become a large part of Manchester United’s sponsorship business. Hublot was followed by Bulova as United associated themselves with the finest quality timepieces.

Now, it’s time for them to run the rule over another one.

This one doesn’t profess to be the most glamorous watch in the world. It doesn’t claim that persons of the opposite sex will immediately fall in love with you once they spot that you are wearing it. It doesn’t even look that attractive. In fact it is big and black and fairly ugly, a little like Mike Tyson chewing a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear.
